It made sense why Landon shouldn’t have been using the dish towel for his cut, the main reason being that their mom would kill him if she found out. The blood was going to leave a stain on the towel, and they would never hear the end of it. Unfortunately, Landon didn’t seem to be thinking about that at the moment, but Finn couldn’t blame him, as he’d done things as well that their mom chastised him for after the fact.

Finn glared at his brother. It wasn’t his fault that he didn’t remember what to do; it had been so long since he needed it. As he pondered it, it came to him, and he silently thanked his brain for deciding to work. Grabbing the dish towel, he brought it to the sink, washing out the blood to the best of his ability before sitting back down at the table. Deciding to throw caution to the wind, Finn took Landon’s hand in his, beginning to gently apply pressure to the cut with the towel in order to stop the bleeding. “Does this hurt?” he asked concernedly, not wanting to accidentally cause him pain.

Finn’s glare caused Landon to let out a small chuckle, shaking his head. He decided to pipe it down and allow the kid to figured out what he needed to do. This was his drum playing hand that was at stake and its fate rested in the hands of Finn Hudson. The thought almost made Landon snort. He loves his brother to death but if his ability to bang on the drums was put up into the air— he’s not the guy he’d trust to fix it.

His eyes watched as his brother rose and cleaned off the towel before coming back and taking his hand again. He felt himself flinch at the contact but tried to man it out. He wasn’t supposed to be in pain over a stupid little cut on his hand. “Nope,” he said with a shrug that he tried to make nonchalant. His brother knew him, however. He knew he wasn’t gonna get away with lying. “A little..” he muttered to correct himself.

Landon was so stupid sometimes. How he thought he could get away with juggling glass jars, Finn didn’t know, and he was supposed to be the dumb one. Walking to the main hall closet, he opened it and reached up to grab the bright white box, a red cross and the words ‘FIRST AID’ emblazoned on the front. It was the first time he’d be getting to use the supplies on someone other than himself, and for that he was proud; also due to the fact that who he was patching up was his brother.

Making his way into the kitchen, Finn noticed Landon sitting at the table, a towel pressed to his hand. “Uh, dude, I don’t think you should be using the dish towel for that,” he warned, moving a chair next to his brother and taking the towel away as he sat. He placed the kit on the table, opening it up to reveal the tools he needed. Finn bit his lip as he stared at it, instantly forgetting the first thing he was supposed to use.

The dish towel was wrapped firmly around his hand as he waited on Finn to come on and bandage him up. It wasn’t like he planned on juggling the jars. He was taking them out and walking over to the counter when the thought just popped in his head— and he did it. One of the jars fell on the floor and he carelessly grabbed at a shard to pick it up. Now he was bleeding and it didn’t seem like it wanted to stop. Kind of stung a bit too, which caused the boy to try to purse his lips to stop himself from continuously wincing.

“Why do you say that, doc?” he asked when he heard his brother’s voice. Landon’s head turned to look at his brother, his lips unpursing not to give him a small smile. His hand was held out for Finn to inspect it. He didn’t think his brother would get grossed out by the blood and gore— both of them had been pretty careless growing up. They’ve seen their fair share of blood. His eyes shifted to look at the kit and then back at his brother. Once he realized Finn wasn’t moving to do anything, he raised his eyebrow at him. “Aren’t ya gonna start anytime soon? As much as I love staring at you, I’ve got other things to do.”
